This event is organized and presented by Main Line Art Center.

Jenny Drumgoole’s Digital Artist in Residence debut coincides with Main Line Art Center’s Happily Ever After Opening Reception and Artist Talks on Friday, October 13 from 5:30-8:00pm.

Main Line Art Center is proud to announce our 2017 Digital Artist in Residence, Jenny Drumgoole. Her most recent work involves physically and virtually infiltrating competitive events with subversive art actions, which are meant to question our obsessions with celebrity, desire and the limits and illusions of individuality in popular culture. The 2017 Digital Artist in Residence is part of the biennial festival Panorama: Image-Based Art in the 21st Century, a Greater Philadelphia-wide celebration of photography and digital art, coming in the fall of 2018.

Deirdre Murphy & Scott White: Public Art Collaboration

This event is organized and presented by University of the Arts.

This lecture is presented by the University of the Arts Industrial Program. Artist Deirdre Murphy and designer Scott White combine climate science, digital modeling, and 1930s car-design to create a large sculpture. Wife-husband collaborators recently completed the fabrication process for the 5.5 by 25-foot sculpture that has transformed their private and public lives and taken over their studios since they were awarded this major public art project. Join Murphy & White to learn how they navigate the design + build process, and hear their story about collaboration, working with local fabricators, as well as using traditional and digital fabrication techniques to create public art.
