Calling all makers and shakers! Join us for a community market featuring handmade crafts and local eats for sale, as well as creative do-it-yourself activities at NextFab. Discover what’s being made right in the neighborhood by Philly artists and designers working in a range of media. Stock up on and enjoy food and drink, and try something new at our make-and-take stations. Donate your crafting materials that you no longer need and anything else that could be creatively re-purposed to The Resource Exchange, Philadelphia’s Creative Reuse Center. Art Market at Tyler is a non-profit art and craft fair designed to support the regional arts community by providing artists, artist collectives, students, and businesses who serve artists a venue for sale of work, self promotion and networking. We provide an easily accessible space for holiday shoppers and collectors to find new works by emerging and established artists. Visitors will enjoy complimentary food and drinks from Victory Brewing Company during our “Crafts & Drafts” happy hour, and access to participate in maker classes and watch demonstrations. Art Market at Tyler is promoted heavily by Temple University as a signature event for Homecoming Weekend’s “Night of the Arts”. NextFab is proud to partner with and host Philadelphia’s increasingly popular Maker Meetup at the Center for Architecture and Design. This special monthly event brings together designers, manufacturers, and producers of all kinds, large and small, including entrepreneurs with 3D printers. The event is filled with fun networking opportunities, an impressive showcase of products and projects, and a panel discussion featuring local experts in a range of topics. This time around, we’re turning our attention to design and architecture as it relates to advanced manufacturing. Our members will reveal projects and products presently under development, giving the audience and designers unexpected moments of inspiration.

The Surface Imaging program will hold on-going printing demonstrations in both the Textile/porous & Surface Imaging/non-porous printing labs. Visitors may bring their own flash drive with a digital image & see it printed on a sample surface to take home. There is limited availability so visitor printing will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
